Dear friends of the Albany Police Supervisors’ Association:

First, let me introduce our association to you: We are a nonprofit organization representing the Sergeants and Lieutenants of the Albany Police Department. Having formed in October of 2004, our Association is fairly new and may not be widely known to the businesses and citizens of the great City we serve. Our members are professional and dedicated police supervisors who directly oversee the men and women of the Albany Police Department and we are committed to providing those men and women with the proper guidance and leadership they need and deserve.

In addition to representing our membership, we would like to become more deeply involved in the community we are so honored to serve. One of our goals is to work towards supporting some of the many youth organizations in the City. Additionally, for the past two holiday seasons, our Association’s membership has contributed to a fund, which supplies Christmas gifts to needy families in the City of Albany . We also participate in worthy community events such as our annual sponsorship of the Lieutenant John Finn Memorial Blood Drive conducted by the American Red Cross. This is only the beginning of our vision of giving back to the community we so proudly serve. In order to continue to serve our members and expand our civic involvement, we need your support.

Our Association is seeking your support is what is to become our official yearly publication, The Albany Supervisor. The Albany Police Supervisors’ Association plans to produce, publish, and distribute this high quality informative magazine. Members of our Association will develop the content of the Supervisor and we believe it will be a publication you’ll be proud to be a part of.
